just updated Cornerstone and the X theme and now I do not see any way to edit the headers and footers anymore.
Its not in the X menu in the admin bar anymore. Did I miss something?
Deactivated all other plugins and the child theme with no effect.
Wait a minute. Did you remove the header and footer builder from X theme to force everyone to upgrade to Pro?

There is no option for the Custom Header & Footer builder in X theme. It is only available in the Pro theme. Please have a look at our doc to learn more about the difference between X and Pro theme.
