New Pro Update? Still Can't Assign Headers to Pages

Hi there.

Based on my previous thread, https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cant-assign-headers-to-pages/22124

I am continuing the discussion.

I was told there would be a new Pro coming out this month of February? Is that still on?

I still can’t assign headers to my pages. Assumingly because I have too many posts that the pages just doesn’t show in the list. The site is designed to be massive.

Anyways, is there an alternative way in the meantime? I can’t proceed with any of the developments I had planned until I can get this done.

Thanks.

J.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

There will be but I’m not sure the exact date. Could be sooner.

And there is no available or temporary solution as this is part of the core, it can’t be fixed by CSS or Javascript since it’s a system.

Thanks!

I see. So no php function?

Well, there is 6 more days left of February. I guess I can wait that long to see if the new update rolls out.

I know it is troubling, but fro anything after february, an unannounced date is very troubling for such a bug to remain.

Anyway, thanks.

J.

Hello There,

We already have a release candidate out. Pro 2.0-rc1.
The final version should be available in the next few days.

Please bear with us.

Ok. Thanks for letting me know.

Good luck to you all.

PS: I just noticed you had a pikachu on your head in your avi. lol. I just thought it was a pic of the pikachu alone.

Hehe, yes Rue has a great sense of humor

It’s unfortunate the new Update doesn’t have the fix yet.

I am currently using a filter to add the headers manually, but it’s not feasible. This does cut the use of Pro by more than half.

Hi there,

We’ll have it added or follow up to our issue tracker. I also checked and yes, it’s not yet marked closed in our issue tracker, so they probably still on it.

Thanks!

update?
This seems to be my issue as well?

I see in Pro 2.1, your choices are:

  • home (which is great)
  • posts (as in all posts, nice if you use them)
  • or you select each page manual :frowning:

so is there supposed to be an “All Pages”?

My issue I want an “All Pages but not home” option.
Or even better (wish list?) … have a way to group pages and then assign a header for that group?

So what is the best way or the way you should do this? to get 1 header assigned to all pages besides the home page?
thanks!

There isn’t a way to negate an assignment. The best way to do this would be to have one header assigned to “All Pages” and another header assigned to “Home”.
