New page setup & fullwidth

HI there,
I set up my start page using the “wedding” template.
Now I want to create the About Me page. Do I also have to install a template here? I am afraid I am overwriting my start page when I install a new template on the about me page?

Second, above my contact form I would like to have a new section. Both the new section and the contact form are not in fullwidth - how can I change that? Please see screenshot below, this is how it looks now

But it should be fullwidth like this

Hi Vivien,

Thanks for reaching out.

Regardless if template, you can save your existing content as a template, then import it to another page. This does not need re-importing the Wedding demo.

And yes, you can import it the saved content as template to your About Me page.

About the layout, it appears your layout is in boxed mode, in which the layout including its contents are restricted to box dimension. Please go to Theme Options > Layout and Design > Site Layout and set it to Fullwidth, instead of Boxed.

Thanks!

Hi,
thanks for your reply! Regarding the layout, I also thought I need to change it to fullwidth, but it already is in fullwidth, see below:

But the contact form page does not appear in fullwidth.
What am I missing…?

Thank you!

Hey Vivien,

There are 2 more things you need to check and those are:

  1. The Page Template. You must use a Blank - No Container.
  2. The Row’s Global Container must be Off.

If setting those up doesn’t help, please provide the following info in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.

Hello,
unfortunately it does not help because the section already is not fullwidth. I can change the row to “Container off” and it widens to the size of the section, but the section itself is not fullwidth.

I will send you my login in a secure note.

Thank you!

Hey Vivien,

I see you’re using the Default Page Template so I believe you missed my first point.

Please read the documentation I’ve linked to previously. https://theme.co/docs/page-settings#page-attributes

You’re currently using the Default Template. I said you need to use a Blank No Container template.

Setting to Blank No Container Page Template, your page should look like this.

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much!
Yes I understand - still until now I do not find where I change those page attributes / page templates?
Thanks!

Perfect! Glad that we could be of help

Well, can you please tell me where exactly I find the page templates/page attributes?
I cannot find it.

Thanks!

Hi Vivien,

I’m sorry about that, it can be found in two places.

  1. While using the Content builder, open the Settings modal (cog icon in the bar) and view the Page Settings tab. You can access the page template from their without having to leave the content builder
  2. From the WordPress Post editor (editing a post in the dashboard) you can open up the settings sidebar (another cog icon) and you’ll see several expandable areas, one of them titled Page Attributes.

Hopefully this helps!

Yes I found it, thank you very much!!

You’re most welcome!
