Need help with page background please

i’m trying to put a custom background image on just the homepage, and would like to know how to simply change backgrounds for any individual page. I found an article here: https://theme.co/apex/forums/topic/change-background-color-of-a-single-page/

i added custom css:

body.page-id-311 {
background-image: url(“http://satelliteinternetservice.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/background-isolated.jpg”);
}

Where “311” is the page id I got from the edit page info. All I keep getting is a white bg. I’ve set no bg image and no color in the global background settings it still doesn’t come up. Any help is appreciated, thx
