I’m wondering if there’s a way to automatically close other drop down sub menus when another one is opened as it’s making my mobile navigation really tall and causing it to scroll.

Thanks for writing in! The Navigation Collapsed element is designed that way. You may use Navigation Layered or Navigation Dropdown if you want to display one submenu at a time.
Be advised that the feature that you are looking for is beyond the limits of the element. You may need to use custom coding which is outside the scope of our support to be able to accomplish what you need.
