Navigation Active Links settings not being adhered to

Hi there,

I have an inline navigation element in my footer for which I have switched off all “Active Links” options. However, it is still having the x-currently-active applied to the links as I scroll down the page. This ends up with a the hover state background colour being present by the time the navigation comes into view.

Is this behaviour expected? I would expect that if the “Current” option within the “Active Links” settings is turned off, then the links should not have the x-currently-active class being applied to them based on the Single Page Navigation / section IDs being scrolled past.

Hopefully these screenshots help illustrate the issue and the unexpected behaviour I am coming across.

Cheers,

Hey @arthurodb,

What you’re seeing is a built-in feature of X/Pro and there is no option to disable it. None of the Active Links options apply to jump links in the menu.

The only method to disable it is via custom JS or override the x-currently-active styles via custom CSS. Regretfully, developing custom features is beyond the scope of theme support.

If you wish for us to override theme features, you might be interested in our Elite service. You can check the details here https://theme.co/elite

If you don’t need hands-on help but just guidance, you might want to subscribe to our One premium support where we can provide customization guidance on custom CSS.

Thanks.

Okay, that’s unfortunate. Could I make it a feature request then that there could be an option to disable this in the future?

Hey @arthurodb,

Sure. I’ll add this as a feature request.

Thank you for your feedback.
