My licence is not working any more, try to register it again, but I'm sent to a 404 page at theme.co

I am encountering an issue concerning the license validation for several of our websites using the X-theme and Cornerstone. Previously, I successfully validated the license when we initially purchased the theme a few years ago. However, I am unable to update Cornerstone now as it suddenly requests license validation again.
When attempting to revalidate the license by pasting in the provided code, an unusual message appears. According to the prompt, it is as if the license code is brand new and hasn’t been associated with any account. Despite following their instructions to log in and register the code, I am directed to a 404 page, preventing me from completing the task.

There might be a few different reasons for this issue, I would suggest you troubleshoot the common issues related to the Product Validation.

1. Location Issues
2. Communication Error Messages

If none of the above helps, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

The mentioned license is for the X theme whereas you are trying to validate Cornerstone which is a different product and you need to get a separate license for that.

Oh! I thought they were the same. Where can I find my cornerstone licenses?

I do not dare to activate x-theme again before I have updated cornerstone. I have tried before, and it crashed the whole site, and I could not get back to Wordpress admin.

Will it help if I uninstall the Cornerstone plugin, and only use X?

I have checked your Themeco Account but didn’t find any license for Cornerstone. You need to buy it separately, please find the article below.

That is weird 🤷 Did cornerstone come as a part of the X-theme in earlier versions of the theme? Maybe there is some conflict with x-theme and cornerstone on the same page, and that is why the page crashes when I try to activate x-theme again?

Hi @BRIKAS,

The Cornerstone is a part of X, so if you install the X you will get that automatically. So you can install the X, validate the license and install the Cornerstone if needed.
Please use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be the latest version.

Hi @BRIKAS,

I have checked and now your website showing the Internal Server Error. I would suggest you delete the X folder from wp-content/themes through the FTP. Upload the X theme again through the WordPress admin by downloading from your Themeco Account.
