Is it now standard that the left, or right header regions are not full height, and not pushing the content inside?
This would made me some trouble for specific sites i’ve using both, a top header region and a left side region for example!!!
Howdy, @Regnalf!
Multi Region headers should still function as they always have (e.g. “side” Bars being full hight and pushing content to the side, et cetera). This release is tucking some of that functionality away because we have found that the vast majority of users tend to use a top bar, and the “side” and “bottom” Bars can be trickier to work with and understand how to implement them properly, so they are there for those who want to dig into them, but not asking for your attention all of the time.
All that being said, it would appear we may have simply lost some of the markup / style output during the shuffle of this release. I have noted this and we will look into restoring things back to how they have always functioned.
Thank you!
Thanks for the explanation, and I also hope that it works again as before.
Quite apart from that I see “pro” for “Pro Users” and the multiregion function of the headers is an absolute killer feature compared to other page builders!!!
That’s why I ONLY use pro and nothing else (that wasn’t paid advertising )
Happy Coding and can’t wait to see the final version.
Well rest assured it’s going nowhere, we’re just trying to gracefully introduce people to the functionality as they need it rather than making them feel like they have to use all of it at once.
Multi Region Header seems to work now with left bar.
But the right bar is still not pushing inside the top header bar’s.
!That seems to because the inline navigation is to wide! But even with wrap it doesn’t break it down to the fit the container!
Content seems to be sized correctly.
@Regnalf…I cannot seem to replicate this on my end. I have a multi-region header on with a left and right bar on and my top bar (which I have tried sticky and not sticky) and with multiple navigations inside it is not pushing off to the side. Can you possibly provide some more steps to help us try and replicate this on our end?
You can access my WordPress battleground test environment (see secure note). Feel free to change what you want, it’s non public.
@Regnalf, not sure if you updated something here (looks like you have as the colors are different from your screenshots above), but the Top Bar is being positioned correctly for me:
It is respecting the positioning of the Right Bar and insetting itself properly.
As for the navigation, I went up to the Container around the nav and set its “Self Flex” option to “Fill Space Equally” to get the nav to wrap. There is some nuance here as to how “Fill Space” and “Fill Space Equally” work, but in general, “Fill Space Equally” is almost always the one you’d want to use, especially for situations like this.
Cheers!
Thx @kory for the hint with the fill space equally, sometimes you need a second reviewer.
I think we can close this thread.
No worries at all!
