Modern Slider button trigger

Is it possible for a button outside of the Slider to trigger a slide? One step further, is it possible for a button hover to trigger a slide?

This mockup is what I’m going for. Hovering over each word would trigger a different background image to show. Should I even be using Modern Slider or a different method?

Thanks for writing in! Yes, that is possible. If you are using the Slider Revolution, you can add an action to the Button layer that it goes to the next slide upon hovering on that layer. Check out this documentation to know more about the Actions:

If you would like to use the Modern Slider, it is also possible. You will have to click on the Button element though to go to the next slide.
