Modern Events Calendar: event view missing location and organizer

Dear Theme X,

When viewing a particular events, normally we would have on the left side information about the organizer + location. We have normally a picture + address etc. This whole column on the left has dissappeared for all events. Example

I have tried to remove the MEC plugin and reinstalled it without success. I also tried to go through the MEC settings, which doesn’t seem to have an option to turn it off.

Thanks for writing in! I have checked your events page. The left side is supposed to display the following:

  • Speakers Module
  • Local Time Module
  • Attendees List Module
  • Next Previous Module
  • Weather Module
  • QRCode Module
  • Widgets

You may have disabled those modules in your MEC settings. To better assist you with your issue, kindly provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

Thanks for your response. I did look at the modules, and it is not what I meant. So I tried to look through many options, and see that MEC has done an update to their layout.

In: single page options
https://www.domain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=MEC-settings&tab=MEC-single

I used: single event style > Modern Style

Somehow with this style the organiser and location (there are ‘default settings’, not modules) disappear.

I changed this to: Default Style.

Now the location + organiser appear again. I guess somehow the ‘modern’ style is not updated with the new CSS for location + organiser. I think it used to work.

Anyways, it is solved now. Just for future reference I thought it would be good to include this here.
