Menu for mobile devices

Hi. At www.modburyteam.org I have a left hand menu. I am trying to figure out how to set up the menu so that it can appear on mobile devices. Is there a KB article that explains how please? I am assuming that it will need to be an off canvas element but I have tried various combinations but am getting nowhere

Hey Alex,

Thanks for writing in.

You are right about using some menu elements such as the Navigation Collapsed element.

The key is to make use of the Hide During Breakpoint setting of the elements to hide the navigation elements you use for the desktop devices on mobile and the mobile menu on desktop.

Hi Thanks for your response. I have followed the instructions but I have had to use Off Canvas Content as I am using an accordion menu and needed to enter the shortcode.

If I don’t set any Hide using Breakpoint, I can see the toggle and if I click it the menu appears if I am looking via my desktop, and if I set the breakpoint it disappears. However I cannot see the toggle on my mobile device. I have clearly missed something.

Hey Alex,

The Container where you placed the Off Canvas is hidden on mobile. Please disable all Hide During Breakpoints options in the said Container.

If I do that the toggle then appears on desktop etc but still not on mobile.

Hi Alex,

I see what you did there, you put the mobile (toggle) container on one left-bar. That left-bar is hidden on mobile, and that automatically hides the containers/element inside it as well. So that means you can not put that mobile (toggle) container on the same left bar. In fact, I would advise you to have a top bar dedicated to mobile views, top bar or sticky bottom bar are more appropriate for narrow screens (mobile).
