Menu Active Color

Site: https://contourbeta.com/holiday/

So this is a little one page website with sections that have id’s. I did custom links in the menu that will scroll you down to each section when you click each menu item. The only issue I have is when the site first loads all of the menu items show as active, so they are red with the red bar above them. Once you scroll down a little they act normally and only show active when you are on the different sections.

How can I fix the glitch that occurs on the initial page load?

Hi @Contourandco,

Thank you for writing in, a couple of things here, please make sure you’re only using the ID link (#contact), not an absolute link (https://yoursite.com#contact) on your one-page menu. Second, do not set your One Page Menu as the Primary Menu but only assign it to the intended page.

That means that you might need to duplicate your menu, one set as the primary menu and one for One Page navigation on that page.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

I did all of that and the issues is still occurring. I have a menu called “main menu” set as the footer and primary menu. I created a new one called “one page menu” and set it as the one page navigation for the homepage. All of the ID links are correct also. I only does it while I am on the revolution slider since I have it set to slider above masthead.

Hi @Contourandco,

Would you mind sharing your admin credential so that we can take a closer look? To do that, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thank you.

Okay I will attach login credentials.

Hi @Contourandco,

Thanks for the credentials, but It did not work, please check.

From what I see in the front end. It seems you use an absolute link (https://contourbeta.com/holiday/#attractions) to your menu, instead of just an ID #attractions

Cheers,
