Link To Headers On Pages Glitching

Hello, I am attempting to create unique links to headers throughout my page, so I can link to sections of the page in my navigation.

I am using the custom ID to set the end of the slug, and it appears to ALMOST work but I’m encountering an error.

Every time I go to the linked header I have created, the page seems to refresh and bring me back to the top.

Here’s an example: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/5816620?key=eacd32ec6c91f124e9135d86ad0b9475

Or you can try it yourself: http://marybethf.sg-host.com/about-us-2/#Karen-Wills

Any ideas what’s causing this? Thanks!

Hi @HippieonHoliday,

Thanks for reaching out about this. I believe this is an issue with the latest update. We’re going to push a point release this afternoon. When that shows up, could you please update, clear your cache, and let us know if this has improved?

This is 100% broken on my site. What is the status of the fix?

Hello @Jeff_Net,

Be advised that we have released X 9.1.2 and Cornerstone 6.1.2. It is now available in automatic updates. You can now update to this latest version. This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (https://theme.co/content/pro5-x9-cornerstone6#changelog).

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Yes, I’m running those versions. I just updated everything today, and now #links and counters aren’t working. Technically, one #link on home page is working, but none on other pages are working anymore. And counters on home page aren’t working at all. They are stuck at 0.

Hey @HippieonHoliday,

Please update to Pro 5.1.2 as the hash scrolling has been fixed in that version.

@Jeff_Net,

If you look at the Cornerstone changelog, the latest version does not address the issues you described yet. We’re still going to report after replicating the issues.

You’re welcome to chime into other threads but do not hijack the thread or make it your own. Please kindly open your own thread next time.

And, by the way, secure notes can be seen by the original thread author so chiming in with a secure note is not recommended especially if you post sensitive information.

Lastly, please test updates in a staging copy of your site because breaking changes could happen. If you have this, you can report to us the issues without affecting your website users.

Hello! Currently, I am on version 5.1.2

I just cleared my cache and tried again, but I’m still encountering the same error.

Any update on this? Do you need a secure note?

Hi @HippieonHoliday,

A new update is available which is 5.1.3 and fixes some issues about hash scrolling not scrolling. I suggest that you update your theme to the latest version.

Hope that helps.

Thank you! I just checked with 5.1.4 and it’s working now.

Hello @HippieonHoliday,

Glad that we were able to help you. Please feel free to open a new thread if you have any queries.

Thanks

Hello! Me again. The issue has begun occurring again after moving my site to a new domain. I am still using 5.1.4 and no other items have been changed. Help?

Hi @HippieonHoliday,

I have checked the URL previously given, but that is not accessible. Can you please share the current URL once again for further investigation?

Thanks
