"Link Child Interactions" option missing on Header/Footer containers

Hi!

A few times I needed to connect child interactions in the Footer, but Containers do not have this option. Unless there is a technical reason for its absence, I think it should be there.

Sorry to jump on this one @Misho but it would be great if each element had the option of being excluded from link child interactions.

I have an example of a members directory I am building at the moment and each member entry has linked child interactions ticked, but there is one element (member category) that is part of the column but I would prefer not to be included in the link child interactions. As this currently are I have turned off colour interactions but that is not the ideal solution

@Misho, I’ll get with Kory and if there’s no technical reason we can probably get that added. For the Theme Options reboot we’re most likely going to make Sections the default element used in the Footer instead of Bars (although both will be available).

@scotbaston good point! This one might take a bit to untangle and get worked out but we’ll definitely explore it to see if it’s possible. Won’t be possible with this release, but I’m going to put it on the general issue tracker.

Thanks @alexander,

I realise it might not be an easy solution, but I do see it could open up some interesting design elements

my initial attempt was a column that was an < a > tag, with category links within the column… which obviously would never work

Hey @scotbaston,

Sorry for missing this! I see what you mean, and it’s definitely something we want to explore.
