Licence doesn't work

Hello !

I have a licence that I can’t activate.

When I copy the licence number in the activation field, nothing occurs.

I check several time the licence number but I can’t make it work.

What do I do wrong ?

Hi There @tanguy

Thanks for writing in! There are few possible causes for this issue. First make sure that you have installed the latest version of X theme and Cornerstone plugin. Or else if you’re a Pro user, you need to download the latest version Pro theme (you don’t need Cornerstone plugin on Pro). You can check the latest version numbers from here (https://theme.co/changelog/). Basically if you have installed older versions, our validation process will not function correctly.

Other requirements are such as PHP cURL extension and make sure that your firewall is not blocking requests from there Themeco server. Please review our guide here on how to troubleshoot connection issues (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-validation-connection-issues/201).

If you’re still having issues, provide us with your WordPress login credentials and the site name in a secure note to check your issue further.

Thanks!

Hello

It’s not the lastest version of X (it’s not a pro) and when I try to upload a new version, WordPress tells me that the folder (theme X) exists yet and cannot be created.

What can I do?
Thanks!

Hi @tanguy

You can delete your existing theme by head over to Appearance -> Themes section. You just need to switch to a default WordPress theme and then you can delete your existing X theme.

Then download the latest version of X theme from your Envato account and then upload the x.zip file to re-install it. If your Cornerstone plugin is not v3.3.8, you can delete it as well from the plugins section and then head over to X -> Validation section, wait for few seconds to install the latest version automatically.

After the above steps, you should be able to validate your site. In case you’re still having issues, you need to follow our manual update guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62).

Note: In case if you get the same error “X theme folder already exists”, you need to connect through FTP and delete your X theme folder manually which is located under (/wp-content/themes/x).

Hope that helps.

Hi !

Doing the way you recommend break the front.

What can we do ?

Thank you

Hi Tanguy,

Would you mind specifying where are you setting up your fonts?

Are you using a custom code through your child theme’s style.css? If so you will need to copy all the css codes that are in the style.css of the child theme to the new one that you uploaded.

If you are using the X - Typekit plugin for the fonts, kindly migrate the typekit fonts to the Font Manager.

Please check this link for more information about the font manager:

Hope this helps.
