I am currently a PRO user but I have both the Xtheme and the cornerstone plugin on my wordpress installation as inactive. Do I need to keep those installed for PRO to work properly or can I delete them?

Hi Joe,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Pro does not require Cornerstone as all of the functionality is included natively so you can safely remove both X and Cornerstone but make sure you have Pro theme installed and active before removing X and Cornerstone.

That is great to hear! The only reason I tend to keep them installed but inactive is in case something breaks and I need to switch the theme out for something more comporable than the default wordpress themes. If I delete them, Is there a way to redownload and install them for testing purposes later?

X to Pro conversion is a one-way process, and if you convert your license from X to Pro, there isn’t an option to revert back. So you cannot download X after the license conversion.
You can keep the current copy of X for testing purpose. Please also refer to our guide here https://theme.co/docs/converting-from-x-to-pro
