Issues with ACF Pro license and Pro Theme integration

Hi there,

I noticed today on a site currently under development using the Pro theme that I am unable to use the ACF Pro features . The plugin is prompting me to enter a license key.

After checking other sites I manage, I found that while older installations are working perfectly fine, the more recent ones are experiencing this same issue.

Could you please provide some clarification on this?

  • Is the partnership between Theme.co and ACF still active?
  • If not, will there be any issues or loss of functionality for legacy sites that rely on ACF Pro?

Thank you for your help.

Hey @MP_Quadro,

No. Any new user created after April 1st 2024 will not have access to ACF Pro as per our agreement. You are fine and will continue to get updates. The Cornerstone ACF Pro integration will work even if we don’t bundle ACF Pro with X or Pro. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Perfect! However, when you say ‘any new user,’ do you mean a Theme.co account holder (like in our case, MP Quadro) or do you mean a new site added to our Pro Unlimited agency license? Our Pro Unlimited license dates back well before April 1st, 2024, so I don’t understand why new sites created under our existing license wouldn’t be able to use ACF Pro.

Hey @MP_Quadro,

Please provide the login credentials where the issue is happening so we can check if it’s a license issue or anything else. Provide the following in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.
