when i upload the them to FTP, I get an error with
'could not upload: ‘bbpress.php’
Server said: Error during read from data connection
Transfer aborted
Error -132: could not send file to remote host
when i select the theme in WB admin, i then get an. error in logs:
[09-Dec-2021 20:37:36 UTC] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’ in /home/eighther/bigticket.vip/wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/x/migration.php on line 268

For the FTP, it might be a server-related issue. Please make sure you have sufficient space on your server and you have the correct permission. I would suggest you please contact your hosting provider to upload the files.
For the WP-Admin warning,
It might be the issue of version compatibility or plugin conflict. I would suggest you please make sure your theme, WordPress, plugins, and PHP version is updated. Please note your PHP version is 7.4 or 7.4plus as per our version compatibility page.
It is also recommended by WordPress as well. Please have a look at this article.

I would also suggest you troubleshot a few common issues on this.
1.Plugin Conflict
2.Theme Update related issue
3.Child Theme Related issue
4.CSS/JS Customization
