Inline Slider Vertical Swipe Buggy

Hey There,

I have an inline slider, but I find that trying to scroll past the slider whilst using a mobile device is incredibly buggy. A vertical swipe on a slide should not activate any movement on the slider, but it does - throwing me sideways and not allowing me to easily pass the slider. It’s annoying for the user.

In the stacked slider, there is the option to toggle both horizontal and vertical interactions, so I wonder:

Is there a line of code that you can suggest that would disable a vertical swipe from triggering a sideways movement of the slider?

I would like to retain the ability to swipe horizontally.

Hello @el3ctrofuzz,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully what you are trying to do needs custom coding and it is beyond the scope of our support. You may contact a 3rd party developer to be able to achieve what you have in mind.

Best Regards.

Hi @ruenel,

Thanks for your resposne.

I’m afraid, I disagree. I’m not really requesting custom coding for a specific project requirement - the themeco slider is just buggy.

Surely, a core feature is that I should be able to scroll vertically past a slider on a page? It’s almost impossible without the slider going haywire and bugging left and right, which creates a terrible user experience.

If you have or know of code to be able to rectify the buggyness, then please share. Otherwise, please file this as feedback/bug report with themeco.

To be clear, I’m not after coding help, I’m after a fix for a bug - the bug being that vertical swiping on the slider causes the slider to go crazy.

Thanks!

Hi @el3ctrofuzz,

If I am not wrong, you might have a problem while scrolling on the smaller screen, and the slider drag option does not allow you to scroll down the page. If that is the problem, you can disable the Drag option from Slide Container as shown in the given screenshot. If that is not what you are trying to point out, please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem.

Thanks
