IE11 question

Hi guys, would you care to have a look at the site i add in the secure note?

I have some major IE11 issues.

Would be great if these can be solved, but if not would there be a way to tell people to upgrade at least to Edge?

Hello @quinex,

Thanks for writing in! There are some issues that can’t resolved in out dated browsers. Older browser does not support some of the features that you may have. The only move you have is to tell your users to update their browsers. You can make use of some 3rd party plugins to do this. Please check out one of these plugins in the repository:

Hope this helps.

Thanks, i’m aware of the browser update plugin, but that doesn’t work properly as it won’t inform when a user is on IE 11 for example (at least not icw Themeco)

So the only way would be to see what can be resolved specifically for an IE browser (if they client is willing to pay for it) and to just hide when not possible?

Correct?

Hey @quinex,

I’m sorry but we can’t help with regards to IE 11 specific messaging. Please read on though because even if we can’t get the display exactly as in modern browsers, your content should still be presentable on IE 11 using our theme.

Your IE 11 issues are fixable even without custom coding or plugin. You just need to set the proper Flex Options that are compatible with IE 11.

Let’s tackle 1 area at a time starting with your header. Set the Flexbox > Align Horizontal of the Container containing your logo and menu to Start. Then, set the Self Flex to No Shrink.

Then, set the Width of the Image and Text elements to 100% because IE 11 requires the width to be set.

Please do the first and we’ll try to solve other problems through the use of correct options.

Hope that helps.

solved, thanks.

Some others solved as well, remaining is now vertical quotes and on home page the location accordion

Hi @quinex,

We would love to help and get into details but unfortunately I could not understand what you meant by vertical quotes.

Would you please kindly give us the exact URL and also a screenshot of the section you are talking about so we can check and see if it is possible to do a fix using IE11?

Thank you.
