this might be a crazy idea, but…
it would be amazingly awesome if SiteDrive was able to connect subsite content to other subsites. so rather than syncing a CPT’s content to a subsite, having the subsite pull the CPT’s info directly from the parent’s database.
as an example, I’m building out a WPMU for a global company. there’s 20 global offices, so 1 global landing subsite and 20 country subsites. in the global site I’m creating a CPT for Offices, then creating a new post for each office.
for the client’s convenience, my plan is to have the client update their global CPTs with shared info (offices, global media, staff, forms, etc) and distribute that on a schedule. connecting CPTs through SiteDrive would simplify this even more and prevent the need for any schedule synchronization, as all updates would happen globally and in realtime.
just a thought. I realize that not everyone uses the WPMU feature, but why limit this feature to WPMU?
