Icon Sticky Menu Bug in Safari

Hi,

There is a small Bug in my sticky menu.
When I scroll to the top of the page the Menu sometimes gets Stuck in the wrong place.
It looks like that:

For some reason it only happens in Safari and only on Pages with a sidebar.
You have to scroll up with some speed to get this result.
It doesn’t disturb me that much and the menu pops back in place instantly then you scroll again, but it would be better without
Thank you in advance for some help!

Hi Cédric,

Can you please provide your website URL to check the issue? I would also request you to share login credentials for your site in a secure note as it is required to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

I added the info

Hi @Cedriclorenz,

Thank you for sharing the credentials. I’ve taken a look at your site in Safari and Chrome. I’ve tried a dozen or so URLs but couldn’t find the issue in your screenshot where it is stuck in the wrong place. Could you link us directly to a page where you are seeing this? Also, what version of Safari are you using.

I did notice that in any browser if I resize to a certain width just after the sidebar becomes visible that you see the header logo pop above the nav items. This is because the combined width of the logo + menu items is too large. When the header runs out of space, the natural behavior is to start stacking so you none of the header elements are hidden. It shouldn’t happen if you had a smaller logo or removed one of the nav items. There are also ways with media queries and custom CSS to make small adjustments only on that width of the screen, but that’s a bit more involved.

I found out that it only happens on the Blog Page.
here’s the exact Link: https://nudelmaschine-chefkoch.de/category/blogbeitrag/
I am using the Version 14.0.1 of safari, it should be one of the latest.

Thanks for pointing out the resizing problem, I noticed it too and am working on it. Also, If I increase the content width to 99% this problem doesn’t occur. I will try balance those 3 things out so it works for me.

Hi Cédric,

I have checked your Blog Page and didn’t find any issue except that pointed out by my colleague in the last post. Can you please check once by clearing all types of cache?

Thanks

Hey,

I did that and still get the bug…

I just checked the menu again and the bug seems to be gone.
i reduced the logo size yesterday, it must have solved the problem, so thank you!

Hi Cédric,

Glad to know that the problem is resolved now.

Thanks
