I have the global headline font set to one font need different font for one headline

Using 2 Google fonts. I have been using the HTML tab in the headline edit text box. But it will recognize fonts like Verdana but not the Google font I want to use. I have also tried raw content. I cannot use the CSS - it changes the entire page - I just want the headline altered. It keeps defaulting to the global font that I set.

Is there a dropdown I can use? Will be handing off maintenance to an intermediate user. If only code will solve that will have to do - is there a way to set it with css just for a specific headline.

Hello Angela,

Thanks for writing in!

Please go to X or Pro > Theme Options > Typography, make sure that the Font Manager is disabled and then find the Headings option where you can select the Google font.

You can just use the Font Manager if you are selecting the font family of the headline element. To know more about the Font Manager, please check this out:

Best Regards.

Hi I understand what you are suggesting - I am aware one can make a font selection for just the headline component. But this is not for ALL headlines - just one headline. I need to change only one particular headline. All other body typography and all other headlines will be the global font. My main question is why do only the websafe fonts work with the code I shared. How do I make it work for the Google font. It is installed because I tested it as the global headline font. And it functioned. But I need to set the global headline font to the bebas font. And one single solitary headline, not the other headlines, to the Damion font.

Hello Angela,

Please provide us the URL of the page where we can find the headline that you want to change the font family to Damion.

If you are using the X or Pro, go to the editor and access the Font Manager:

Add the Damion font and saved:

Edit the page where you have the one single solitary headline and then go to Headline > Text in your headline element settings and select the “Damion” font.

Hope this makes sense.

Yes, it does. It worked perfectly, Thank you.

Hi Angela,

Glad that it works.

Thanks
