I want to know if Cornerstone is necessary to install “X” Theme.
I have installed x theme without cornerstone but when i install the demo content i can’t see my site, i have an error, i see a code but not the images in my site.

Yes, cornerstone is needed for the theme to work correctly.
If you go to X > Validation Page, cornerstone will be installed automatically.
You can also install it manually, the plugin file is located in wp-content/themes/x/framework/cornerstone.zip
