Can you tell me how you make the sticky menu here https://theme.co/content/pro4-x8-cornerstone5
Is it one of the header templates?
I created a similar page but yours is much smoother. My sticky bar jumps around as the page is scrolled.

Hello @clefler,
Thanks for writing in! We cannot input the password in the field because the bar is overlapping in front of the section. Please edit your custom header and then set your bar height to auto
.
No, this sticky menu is not part of the templates. It is actually custom-built for the site content pages.
Best Regards.
ok should be fixed now but my header should be very similar to the template header
Could you point me in the right direction with the custom coding that you used?
It is significantly smoother than what is packaged in Pro.
Hi @clefler,
Did you change your admin slug URL to something else? because yourwebsite/wp-admin and yourwebsite/wp-login.php doesn’t work. Please let us know what’s the custom admin slug URL.
Thank you.
Hi @clefler,
The referred menu in https://theme.co/content/pro4-x8-cornerstone5 is a custom floating navigation. To get rid of jumping you need to adjust the trigger offset value, I went ahead and set that 277 pixel, and it makes it smoother. Please check and adjust the offset value if required.
Please find the screenshot describing the settings.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
Hey thanks for the help that did smooth it out a little.
Is it possible to get the same floating menu effect by having a left column with the menu and the right column has content that scrolls within its own window? So the column with all the content would scroll and give the effect of a fixed menu.
Hi @clefler,
You can use the other header options available for left and right as shown in the screenshot.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
yes thx, I did experiment with those options and the left side bar does just what I am asking for but I don’t want it to extend all the way to the top of the page. Is it possible to use a side bar and have it located underneath a horizontal header bar?
Hello @clefler,
The sidebar will always be located to the sides. You cannot position it underneath the top header.
Best Regards.
ok I figured that was the case
just came across a perfect example of what I am looking to do from the Xtheme site: https://demo.theme.co/elements/
Is this another custom code page?
Hi @clefler,
You can do the similar one with the option I referred you to earlier. I have tried to create the same in the local environment and made the video to show you. Please find the video link below.
https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/2213497?key=f7f05942b5de38c7b4d5745be09eda39
Please remember to set that header to any pages to see in the frontend.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
ok great thank you!

Hi, sorry just have to go back again to the element demo page https://demo.theme.co/elements/
The left menu column on this page is scrollable AND the horizontal header bar goes across the entire top of the page.
So I’m assuming this page has no side bar menu but is using two columns and the columns are made to be scrollable?
Hey @clefler,
The example page is entirely customized to achieve this result, The fixed bar you see is a sidebar and made fixed and scrollable using custom CSS. You can inspect the page using Chrome’s Developer tools and see the structure and custom code that is being used.

Hope this helps!
