How to have a different button color when clicked

Hello,

We use WooCommerce for our online store. In order to display our different product categories, we use a Global Block on our shop page with the images and names of our categories. In order to clarify which category the customer is in, we would like the buttons to have different colors when they are clicked and that this color persists as long as the person is on the page. At the moment we are only able to have a different color on hover and the base color returns once the button is clicked.

We have integrated a Global Block to present our different product categories with images and their names.

As you can see the category names are buttons that refer to the linked category, the base color of the button is black and when you hover over it it turns red. We would like that once the button is clicked and directed to the page linked to the button, it remains in red in order to indicate to people which category page they are on.

So, for example, when we click on “Materials” and are on the “Materials” category page, we want the button to stay red.

If we look at the navigation menu of the site in general, it offers exactly what we are looking for. When we click on “Layout”, the text turns red and remains the same as long as we are on this page.

I have checked the page URL, and found the Global Blocks you are referring to. What you are expecting is required complex customization and that is beyond the scope of Theme Support, I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called Elite service, where we offer complex customization.
