How to edit "The Content" in Layout Builder for single post page

Hi,

I’d like to be able to edit the styling of the text in the dynamic “The Content” element. I’m trying to create a single post template following the YouTube vid Layout Builder: Single Template.

I see where to dynamically select the Headline element, which lets me adjust fonts/colors etc.

But when I assign the element The Content, which is what I want to pull in all the text from my blogs, I have no way to style that text. It just comes in light grey and tiny on each blog post. How do I style it?

Hi Dave,

The “The Content” element will follow the settings Body and Content typography. That is under Theme Options > Typography.

Hi, thanks. I’m also having an issue where the Featured Image does not show up in the Layout template titled Overlap Landmark 1. How do I get the Featured Image to show up using that template? Thanks!

Hello David,

Please make sure that you have inserted a featured image into your post. It should display in the live view. You can also preview the builder by assigning which post to use to preview the single layout.

Hi, thanks, I did have a featured image in my post, that wasn’t the issue. The issue was the Overlap Landmark 1 layout template did not have an area for the featured image to go in; I had to add a row and insert an Image element and assign dynamic content for the featured image to show up.

I’m also wondering about the blank sidebar that comes with the Overlap Landmark 1 layout template. Where/how do I access where to populate that sidebar with widgets?

The template does have an area for the Featured Image and it’s the first Section’s background. It just needs a bit of setup. First, you enable the Advanced Background and set the Featured Image Dynamic Content.

Regarding the blank sidebar, you’re referring to, set up the Widget Area element. You can learn how to use the Widget Area from our doc here https://theme.co/docs/widget-area
