How to determine which item is the default under the Layout Assignements for a page

In a site I have created a single header that is set in the conditions to be applied to the entire site. However, the pages are not displaying that header by default.

Normally for most of the sites I create I never have to do anything other than create a header and use the conditions to apply it across the site or various pages from the conditions.

In the video below you will see that I am having to assign that for each page as opposed to just leaving the items set as the default.

What is assigned to the default, and how can I control that?

Here’s a quick video showing what I am talking about.

Hey @klevur,

Thanks for writing in! In your WordPress admin dashboard, go to /wp-admin/options.php and check the header assignment. You may need to remove the entries on that field.

If this is not helping, we would love to check your site. You can create a secure note in your next reply with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WP login URL
– WP username
– WP password
– WP Administrator Role
– Confirmation that we can access and make changes to your site
