How to add a video in a post (and in the recent posts widget)

Hi,

I want to publish posts in my blog that are video.

I embedded the video in the post. But, how do i get to show the video in the recent posts widget, instead of the featured image?

The featured videos in our demo content is using the video post format. Please edit your posts and assign video as post format. After selecting the video post format, a video post settings will appear on the page (http://prntscr.com/aahwgk). Hi Ignacio,

The video wont work as you expect in Recent Shortcode. You need to add a featured image instead to your post.

You could try to achieve what you are looking for using The Grid or Essential Grid instead of the recent post shortcode.

You mean with the “the Grid” options in the bottom of the post?

Hi There,

Recent Posts widget can not output a video, so Joao advice that you use the The Grid extension instead, whether you place that on top or bottom of your posts.
