How do i make the hero section behind the header?

https://verobeach.marketing/news/home/

i want the header bar to overlay the hero section

Hi @verobeachmarketing,

Thanks for reaching out.
I would suggest you go through the following thread and the article on a similar topic.

You may need to change the CSS selector class to match your structure.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

that worked amazing, now do you know how I can get another bar that is white background to be sticky once I start scrolling?

i tried assigning the second bar and effects on scroll with transparency on entrance but it is still there on page load…

and it removed the other header bar, perhaps I need to put them both in the same header?

so i tried that and cannot get the white bar to unhide on scroll using effects…

Now neither show. I even tried the dual bar same header assignment only on home etc.

Hey @verobeachmarketing,

We need to check your setup properly because I cannot see any header on this page: https://verobeach.marketing/news/home/. To do that, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thank you.

its there and assigned to Home only but I can’t get it to show I tried everything I knew

in fact site wide is gone now which is bad

Hey @verobeachmarketing,

You can use the Preview URL option in the builder:

Be sure to set at least -20 priority to make sure that this header will override the one you have assigned for the entire site.

Best Regards.

This is good to know but how do I get the second bar to show on scroll with the white background. called bar - white

the transparent is for the hero only on the homepage then scrolls to white

then I have a separate header white for all other pages etc.

Hello @verobeachmarketing,

There was a custom CSS code in your custom header that hides away the White Bar element. Removing it should resolve your issue and will make the 2nd Bar element display as you scroll down the page. Check it now.

Best Regards.

thank you for finding that

Anytime, @verobeachmarketing.

do you know why the sitewide header assignment does not display?

https://verobeach.marketing/5-must-ask-questions-to-find-the-perfect-media-agency-partner/

Hi @verobeachmarketing,

I have checked the URL and found that the Header assigned to it is assigned to Entire Site. If that is not the case and you are trying to point out something else, please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem.

Thanks

it is but i have the other header assigned to the homepage only is that not correct?

Hey @verobeachmarketing,

Your sitewide header is not displaying because you have hidden it in all browser screens. You have this settings:

Edit it and make it visible instead.

Thanks.

ok, that was my fault, I don’t remember doing that

now if I scroll down to receive the white menu, if I click it to the about with drop-down it takes me back to the top of the page with the trans menu

Hey @verobeachmarketing,

The reason why when you click the about it takes you back to the top menu because the menu link for about is set to #. If you wish not to behave that way you can change it in your Appearance > Menu then select your header menu and locate the About menu and update # to javascript:void(0).
