How Do I Change My Website Name For validation

I recently had a change in the business and I need to change the domain my website is for validation purposes. can someone please tell me how to do this ?

Thanks for writing back. I am, however, not entirely sure of what exactly is you are trying to do so I’m going to list some assumptions based on your post.

1. If you have not yet changed the domain name of your WordPress site, you need to do the following steps first.

  1. Change a domain in WordPress
  2. Find and replace with a WordPress plugin

It’s important to note that the changing of the domain name is part of the WordPress migration process and it’s beyond the control of our theme and builders. With that said, if you are having problems with the steps mentioned above, you need to consult with a developer. We do not handle migration issues as part of our theme support.

2. Assuming that you already changed the domain of your site, do the following steps.

  1. To change your domain for product validation, go to your Licenses Page and click on the pencil icon beside the domain you wish to change. You then need to type or paste in your new domain and press the Enter key in your keyboard.
  2. Revoke the license in your site.

Thank you however do I lock the license and if I do will I be able to change it later? also I have done the above step where I changed the site with the pencil. it is still telling me I need to validate my license in Wordpress how long does it take to validate? this is the error I recieve

cURL error 7: Failed to connect to theme.co port 443: Connection refused

Thanks for providing the error message. That one says that your web host does not allow connection to our server. Please contact your web hosting provider. You can use the message template provided here: https://theme.co/docs/problems-with-product-validation#contact-your-hosting-service-provider

To your question:

Yes, you’ll be able to change the domain anytime.

Your site would be validated immediately if not for a few seconds provided your web host allows connection to our server.
