Thanks for writing in! When inserting an image, you can insert the Alt text below the image source and enable the link option to be able to insert a link.

If you don’t see some of the style options, you need to turn on the Advanced Mode by going to the Settings > Preferences > Advanced Mode

Thanks for replying. I can’t find these same settings you show above. I think that is because I am editing a product not a page. On the pages it says advanced mode on. And if I insert an image inside a page it gives me a link option. However on the product page I am adding a featured image. How can I link that to media file? Any further instructions?

Regretfully the featured image does not have an option that you can add a link to the media file because on the product page, it can sometimes be linked to a lightbox or an image zoom depending on the theme.

Linking it to a specific media file requires custom coding which is beyond the scope of our support already. Perhaps a 3rd party plugin may help you. You can check it here:
