How CSS styling can be inherited from style.css in child theme Part2

Hello,

First of all thank you for the reply to my previous topic. And apologies for not replying on time. I didn’t realize they close for response after 10 days!! I’m sorry about that. I couldn’t answer before though, so now I copied the link to the previous response:

Thanks!! Now, I understand how the order of loading css stylesheets work. I only have two questions.

  1. In which file should I put the code you gave me?

  2. I want to change to X Pro and there will be X Pro child theme I guess. Do I have to change the child theme and copy the stylesheet from my current child theme to the new Pro one?

Thanks again! From now I will make sure I answer promptly.

Regards
Gabriela

Hello Gabriela,

You may place the CSS code in the style.css file of the child theme or in X > Theme Options > CSS:

In case you place the code in the child theme’s style.css and you are not seeing any changes, please make sure to clear your browser cache.

If you upgrade from X to Pro, you will have to install the Pro theme file and the Pro child theme and copy all the CSS codes from X to the pro child style.css file.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I will do that.
