My webhost support is eluding the fact that my WP install is slow. There are no real other plugins aside from the ones included in X Pro. Is there any testing metrics you guys use to get the speed better?

I’m getting 5s load times on a single page, ~1mb site.

Most people use GTMetrix to measure pagespeed.
Regarding your site, we can’t comment on page speed as there are a lot of factors outside the theme’s control that contributes to your page’s weight. The major part of it is your content. Our products are optimized and is only a small part of the page load.
