I am working in pro. I have set a header as Global, and the default headers continue to come up for search results regardless of what I do. This has been a problem all day.
Hello @artistn8,
Thanks for writing in! Please set a smaller priority number to your custom header to make sure that the custom header will always display sitewide.
Cheers.
Could you explain how priority works for headers and footers?
Hello @artistn8,
To assign the Header/Footer to any page posts etc you need to set the conditions and you need to set the Priority. By default the Priority is 0 in case it is not working you may set the Priority is -5 or -20 to higher the priority
Hope it helps
Thanks
It worked once and then back to default. I have created a menu that is -20 and should come up when Search Results are being viewed and it is still giving me the default system header.
Hi @artistn8,
In that case, we need to investigate the settings made for the header assignment. Please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:
– WordPress Site URL and Login URL
– WordPress Admin username and password
– Specific Header for Search page
To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
Thanks
I appreciate the help.
Hi @artistn8,
I have checked and found that the Yoast SEO: Local plugin is the reason behind your issue. I have deactivated it temporarily and now the header and footer are working.
Please remember that we don’t provide any support to the 3rd Party plugins or related issues.
Thanks
