Header bottom not displaying; making particle length in Navigation Collapsed correspond to the length of the link

Hi there,

We’ve come upon a few issues we’re unsure how to solve.

One of them is that the header’s bottom bar is not displaying when viewed on mobile (it was set to appear only there and to be hidden when viewed on desktop/laptop) - but it’s still visible when it’s previewed in the Headers area. Once you view the page that has it assigned on a mobile phone or in the browser set on mobile preview, it’s not displaying anymore.

The second one is that we’re trying to make the length of the Primary and Secondary particles correspond to the length of the link, but we can’t seem to figure out a way how to do it. Since our links are all different in size, we can’t seem to just make a “standard” particle size and have it fit all of them.

We’d like the particles to end sooner on shorter links, like on “Contact” and others, instead them being as long as “Behind the screen” is.

The third issue is that, unless we disable the “X Typekit” plugin, we’re unable to see the headers when we go in to edit them (so, when we’re editing them, we disable the plugin; once we’re done editing them, we enable it again). We’re not sure what to do about that since the typekit code is already added on the Theme Options > Font Templates.

Thanks for writing in! I have logged in and check your header. I can see the bottom bar in the header builder but not in the live view of the page. This is because of caching issue. As you may know, you have installed Breeze and CloudFlare plugin. Always keep in mind that after you make any site changes, you MUST clear your plugin caches.

And also I found out that you are using CloudFlare. Right after your updates, please log in to your CloudFlare account and purge your site cache. You also need to regenerate the minified CSS and JS files in CloudFlare.

Caching are best to turn ON when you are done building the site and ready to do live. If you are still in the developing stage, we recommend that you temporarily disable all your caching plugins so that any of your site changes will be reflected in the live view page.

We followed the advice in regards to CloudFlare, but we’re still unable to see the header unless we’re inside the editor. Is there anything else that might be the cause of the issue?

Hey @INcroatia,

This is more related to aggressive caching, since you’re using CloudFlare so it takes some time to take effect. I’d recommend you to completely disable the cache plugin and optimization services and then see if everything works. You probably need to wait for sometime for CloudFlare to take effect.
