This was only happening on one of my test sites, and I couldn’t figure out how to repro on another one… so I’m sharing this as an FYI in case it’s related to something you already know about. Since it only happened on one of my sites, it’s possible it’s just an issue somewhere in the beta updates that happened too.
In short, I set up a few headline presets on one of my beta test sites. And for no apparent reason, it started using one of them as the default every time I dragged the standard element into the builder.
I checked the Template Manager, and it was set to None
But it would still use the preset every time. On multiple pages. In the last few betas (at least 4 & 5)
I hadn’t been able to figure out how it was happening, so I hadn’t reported it before now. I finally got it to behave correctly by changing the default to one of the presets, saving, and then changing it back to none.
So yeah, a weird one.
