How do I make a horizontal “featured posts” layout, handpicking which posts I want to appear (say I give each post the additional category slug “favorites”), and still have their other category appear, as well as the associated featured image and excerpt copy, as shown on this blog under the MUST READS section (notice the horizontal scroll for more). How do I create a template to do this?
Hello @kleins99,
Thanks for writing in!
You can make use of the Posts element. By changing the Looper Provider of the Post element from “Recent Posts” to “Query Builder”, you can then select the post items that were hand-picked or has the “Favorites” category.

Kindly let us know how it goes.
I got the favorite posts to load, but I don’t know how to change their appearance, so I can fit 5 posts in a horizontal display, as seen in the url below, with their other category (not the word FAVORITES) displayed in a white box, as shown here: jennakutcherblog.com/
Hey @kleins99,
Are you referring to the URL in the secure note? Since you are using the Pro theme, you can utilize the Layout Builder. If you are not familiar with this builder yet, please check out this documentation:
Hope this helps.
