Gutenberg Blocks not appearing correctly within admin and frontend

Circling back to this thread from 2023: Gutenberg Blocks have fewer options when Pro is activated

Gutenberg blocks won’t display correctly and the developer for Ultimate Dashboards has investigated for weeks now. Could this be due to something on your end? I’ve added the code mentioned in the thread above but it’s not improved anything.

Hey Daniel,

The given WP Access has limited privileges. We cannot check your WP dashboard.

Be advised that the provided Live Link URL to investigate is a custom post type single layout that may have been generated by a 3rd-party plugin. We are just not sure the name of the 3rd party plugin.

Thanks.

Apologies! You should now see this dashboard when logging in: https://a.cl.ly/6qule8Lm.

I am using Ultimate Dashboards for this btw, however the developer has stated he added Gutenberg support so it should be working, but clearly isn’t.

Hello Daniel,

This is Gutenberg when editing a post or a page, which works as expected:

Regarding the dashboard shown in your screenshot, this appears to be caused by a third-party plugin or script that has disrupted the display or was not implemented correctly. Please note that the older thread specifically refers to Gutenberg in the context of adding or removing blocks within the Gutenberg editor. That discussion also took place in the Beta Forum, not in our Support Threads. Your situation is different, as your developer appears to have used Gutenberg to modify the dashboard. Unfortunately, this falls outside the scope of our support. You will need to reach out to your developer or the authors of the third-party plugin responsible for this dashboard modification.

Best Regards.

I have confirmed that this is not due to a plugin but it is your theme. I disabled Pro and enabled 2024 theme and everything worked as expected.

I did contact the developer who said:

It appears to be missing all styles applied by the Gutenberg editor and that’s why nothing is rendered correctly on the frontend or page builder dashboard. That could be on purpose - if the theme you’re using is meant to be a “blank slate” type of theme. You can try switching to one of the WordPress default themes to confirm this.

I’m at a bit of a loss at who to approach for help now. Can you help?

Hello Daniel,

You can do the following:
1.) Clone your site to a staging area. Check out this guide: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

2.) You are using the “Starter” Stack. Switch to the “Integrity” stack and check the dashboard. Be advised that “Blank” and “Starter” stacks do not have pre-built styles, as these stacks are intended for developers who want to create their own custom styles integrated into their sites.

Thanks.

Switching to Integrity did not work.

Hey Daniel,

Should you wish, you may grant us access to your staging site’s WordPress admin panel to facilitate troubleshooting. Kindly note that theme switching is best performed in the staging environment. This is also to prevent any downtime or any disruption to the main live site.

Cheers.

I’m happy for you to work on the live site, I know the risks.

Hey Daniel,

The inline styles of the Ultimate Dashboards plugin is not loaded when Pro is activated. There might be some conflicts with hooks or anything. Please ask the developers how their adding the inline styles like the global-styles-inline-css.

Please note that we’ll try the best we can to resolve this issue but we cannot guarantee fixes for 3rd party plugin conflicts.
