Granting Access To Cornerstone

Hi there

We are trying to create a user role on our website that is restricted to editing products. One part of editing products is using Cornerstone to add/edit enhanced product information. To control what the user has access to, we use a plugin called Capabilities Plugin. You can learn more about the plugin here https://publishpress.com/capabilities/

Unfortunately we are unable to adjust the role to allow the user the ability to actually make changes within Cornerstone. The user can access Cornerstone from a product, but they can edit any of the elements.

The support team for the Capabiilties Plugin said to ask you,

"I suspect the Cornerstone team may have some unique capabilities controlling edit access to this fields.

Do you mind asking them if they require capabilities such as edit_posts or manage_woocommerce? If they can clarify that, we can help you get it set up in WooCommerce."

Hello Tim,

Thanks for writing in! If you go to Cornerstone > Settings > Permissions and select the Role, you can allow/disallow a feature when they are viewing the page in Cornerstone.
