When choosing a colour for the gradient, the gradient updates but not the colour picker - it unputs the global colour in the picker but the colour above it doesn’t update, so setting opacity then shows it incorrectly (whilst still seeming to set it OK)
In the example, you can see I chose pink, but the colour picker bit is still red, and whilst changing the opacity does change the gradient it doesn’t properly.

I checked on my localhost test website, and it is working fine on my end. I would suggest you please clear your browser cache and recheck it. If it doesn’t work, we need to check your settings. I’ve tried it on multiple sites on different servers/environments and still seeing it.
It’s not that it doesn’t work, it’s that the big colour picker doesn’t change when you change colours, and showing the global colour id in the field is a bit weird.
When you choose a colour from your palette does the bit that is in the top right on red change to honour what you’d expect (in this example which is a different site, I’d expect it to go to the orange colour I’ve chosen)
