Gifs stopped working

Hi,

I was using some gifs on my site (blog sidebar and preloader) and suddenly they have stopped working. I cannot change the size settings of my images in order to change it to full size. I have uninstalled all my recent plugins and activate them one at the time and the problem still persists.

Could you please advice how to resolve this?

Thanks

Hello Alejandro,

Thanks for writing in! This could be caused by a caching issue, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

  • Testing for Plugin Conflict
  • CSS/JS Customization
  • Disabling Cache
  • Disabling CDN

If nothing is helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

Best Regards.

I have tried everything and the error still persist. I have added a secure note with url and access details.
Hope you can suggest something else.

All the best

Hello Alejandro,

Your image is missing because you have moved your WP directory.

Please see the secure note.

Please install Search and Replace. You need to search for the keyword in the secure note and replace it with the new one.

We would love to know if this has worked for you. Thank you.

Thank you. I have managed to search and replace. Also to bring back the gif in the widget sidebar as it would allow me to change the additional size settings of my file when upload it. However, this settings don’t know when uploading files via my media library so the gif I had on my loader plugin still doesn’t show up.

Any other further thoughts?

Thanks

Hey Alejandro,

What you’re experiencing is not a theme issue but rather a result of incomplete migration therefore this is outside the scope of our theme support to fix.

I’ll provide my thoughts to point you to the right direction. Upon checking one of your posts, I saw a GIF.

In the backend, it’s not available but you simply need to update the image. Please contact the WordPress support if you’re unsure how to do that.

Hope that helps and thank you for understanding.
