Font weight doesn't change below 500. Also, font weight for slider revolution changes when I change body/content font weight

Hi,
I currently use Lato font weight 400 for body/content and 300 book for headings. I’d like to try using a system font to try to speed up the loading time for my website. I tried using Helvetica system font and when I try to adjust the font weight below 500 it doesn’t seem to change. This doesn’t happen with Lato. I can adjust that down to 100 and it seems to work fine. Also, when I adjust the font weight for body/content the font weight for slider revolution changes? I thought the font weight for slider revolution was separate and should not change when I adjust the font weight for body/content.

Hello Bill,

Thanks for writing in! You should be managing the fonts in the font manager. The 500 and above font size should be defined in the font manager before you can use it in the theme options typography setting or in the element settings. Kindly check this out:
