Followed all docs and searches about local staging..... still not working

Hello,

I’m using these tools for local staging:

For creating a backup to start I’m using the backwpup plugin.
For local staging I’m using the LocalWP app.

I’ve followed this article: https://theme.co/docs/problems-with-product-validation

this article: https://theme.co/docs/product-validation#validating-development-areas

The staging that I’m doing is local so I’ve tried putting “localhost” (AND also trying the URL that is given to me in the LocalWP interface) into the staging URL as per this articles I’ve found.

I get this:

“Verifying license… Congratulations, your site is now validated!”

and then I get:

"You’re almost finished!

Your license of Pro is not validated . Place your Themeco license to unlock automatic updates, etc etc etc etc.

NOTE: When using the .zip file in LocalWP, I get this error:

" The following SQL files failed to import:

• /app/sql/avatar.sql

• /app/sql/crawler_blacklist.sql

• /app/sql/crawler.sql

• /app/sql/img_optm.sql

• /app/sql/img_optming.sql

• /app/sql/url_file.sql

• /app/sql/url.sql

Please double-check that the site looks correct after importing."

I don’t know if that affects my issue, but I just thought it might be pertinent information.

Hi @question3,

Thanks for reaching out.
The LocalWP provide a temporary staging and the Live URL and that is not the Localhost. And before validating the Theme you need to add that specific Live URL into your Themeco Account. Regarding the .zip issue, we are not aware of it and never tested the theme into the LocalWP, I would suggest you contact the Support of LocalWP* on this.

Thanks

I’m using local staging so I added the local URL that showed in LocalWP. Same error.

I also added “localhost” as per an article that I’ve found in the forums, and it still gave me the same error.

Hello @question3,

It seems that you have not added the complete URL. Please have a look at the screenshot in the secure note.
You need to add the complete URL of the localhost by that you are accessing the localhost site. For example, I have a test development site on my localhost. Please have a look at the screenshot in the secure note.

Hope it helps
Thanks
