Fix license validation loop

This is a real pain point.

I know from experience that often waiting a day or so fixes the issue but sometimes it isn’t feasible to wait.

The issue usually occurs for me when I move a licensed site from my development server or from a staging server to a live location with a different domain. It happens almost every time without fail. The age of the domain is usually irrelevant for my sites and is more from transferring the site across locations.

The license usually shows up in the theme.co dashboard but won’t validate on the site.

If you search for “validation” you will see this is asked about constantly with people in the forums complaining their site won’t validate on a nearly weekly basis.

Not sure if you can fix this or provide instructions on a manual fix?

Well I was finally able to recreate this. There’s some cache issue specific to pro-unlimited, I’m not 100% sure where yet. I’m at the point where it would probably just be easier to have unlimited auto-validate, like I’ve seen with other plugins. I don’t think I can provide you any manual fixes besides waiting about 15 minutes too. I’ll also make a CS update in the future where it gives a you proper error message for this, but hopefully we won’t need it after a proper fix. Thanks for the info!

The caching issue when moving an unlimited site to a new domain has been fixed. Let us know if you still experience this issue of infinite validation. The UI won’t give you errors about a validation loop, but hopefully with the validation loop removed that won’t matter.

If you just moved a site, click “Refresh Validation” or the “Check Now” in the version manager. That will check if the validation passes and if it doesn’t will give you the license form right away.
