Hi,
I know you have your hands full with the updates right now. and this update will surely be great again!
But is it planned to integrate either a native filter option or a filter plugin like facetwp completely so that filtering loops also works?
here it would be great if the filter also works across multiple loops that are on one archive layout page.
at the moment filtering is a challenge.
thanks in advance!
harry
Hello,
Where I’d like to take this first is to add some filtering controls to Looper Providers / Consumer that could apply to all types of data and provider types. So you could implement through a plugin, GET args, or elsewhere. This would also involve getting some more controls to the query builder as it’s been requested a bunch and sort of ties into this. The default consumer for an archive is really where all your filtering would come from currently and then rely on plugins to setup the GET args. The endgame of CS Charts has always been to improve Loopers too so I agree it would be great.
Getting actual control inputs as elements seems like a project after that. Which is also leads to a “Form” element. It’s something that’s been debated though before. The default consumer would then be used on the archive. Form building is a large concept though. With enough requests we can prioritize.
Thanks for the thoughts!
