Feature Request: Search in Color Palette

I would personally love to have a search field in the color picker UI, right there up above the list of colors. It would make finding specific color values SUPER fast to find, rather than scrolling through what (in my case) can be a huge list of colors.

For example, I’ve been developing a design system where I have a variety of semantic colors for things like surfaces, content, etc. – but the list can be quite long. If I need to quickly find a “muted” color, or “border” color, I currently have to scroll through the whole list and hope I see it while scanning. Whereas, obviously being able to simply type “muted” and get a list of all the colors with that in the name would be amazing.

A search field in the Inspector that works in any context might be even better? So when you’re viewing your Variables, the search field would search through your variables. Inspecting an element? The search field would return properties like padding, margin, etc.

I can add in a feature request for this. I’ll think about how we can have this type of feature elsewhere too. Have a great day.

Got one more idea for search in Cornerstone. What do you think about eventually having some sort of WordPress-style command palette global search option in CS which you could use any time and anywhere using a keyboard shortcut. It could open a search modal and return any CS setting, element, component, template, and perhaps even let you invoke certain actions like add a new page and so on?
