Similar to the Counter Element, the Countdown Element could benefit from these options.
Also to do with the countdown element… I’ve noticed that when I use litespeed cache that the current server time doesn’t get updated but stays on whatever time the last page cache was generated.
I think it makes more sense for the Counter as that would be used for a unit of measurement or currency. Adding in a text element in these cases sounds better to me, and would have more styling controls.
@spedney I’ll try to fix that issue in a point release. It does that to get around timezone issues, but it wouldn’t work if you are caching that element.

I’ve added text elements before and after a Countdown and that works nicely, however if you wanted the text to be hidden when using the ‘Hide Empty’ option on the Countdown then you can’t with the current setup.
