Feature request: Native Lottie Support

I’m sorry for hijacking the Beta forum (again).

I just accidentally learned that Elem… erm, a competitor builder  has native Lottie integration. That’s outrageous. Lottie is a huge thing for web and not having to deal with manual integration process in Pro would be really a fantastic thing. It also doesn’t seem to be too “Expensive” for you guys to make it happen. In addition, being listed on their website as a platform that supports them is amazing exposure, considering the fact that the biggest companies in the world are using them.

Thanks!

I’ve seen this being requested before. It’s probably not something they’ll stuff in in this cycle though. But yeah, it would be great to have this integrated. Hopefully soon

Yeah, I’ve seen the request on the main support with a generic answer. I thought this was the chance to discuss it with Kory.

Even a rudimentary support would be great. Basically it is enabling the script, allowing uploading the JSON file, and connecting it to the player.

Though, I think I could build the player element using parameters, perhaps even with settings to enable/disable controls, looping, speed etc.

Yeah but let’s get it in officially

I second this so many times over :tada:

Would be amazing to have native Lottie support. Wouldn’t even need a ton of bells and whistles right off the bat. Perhaps just some scroll position key-framing speed settings, etc. Elem has had this for several years now and Webflow appears to have made this a priority as well…so… pretty please?

Also the wrong X is listed there.

I can neither confirm nor deny that we may have native Lottie support in the works. Can’t say much more than that at this time…

You’ve said enough

Nope, looks like this is not going through for some reason.

<lottie-player src="{{dc:p:link}}" background="{{dc:p:background}}" speed="{{dc:p:speed}}" style="width: {{dc:p:width}}; height: {{dc:p:height}};" {{dc:p:loop}} {{dc:p:controls}} {{dc:p:autoplay}}></lottie-player>

Which is strange. It doesn’t matter if it is Lottie or something else, but I’d expect dynamic content to pull through when it is placed inside a script. Maybe it is something that can’t be done this way after all…
