It would be nice if the media library wasn’t the only place Pro can load custom fonts from. Maybe it’s possible to let us specify a custom path to our custom fonts?
It would be nice if there was a breakout mode for custom font items. This could also solve the issue of loading HTTP fonts over HTTPS or at least figuring out that’s an issue quicker.
If you go to the dev tools. Under “Font Config” you’ll see the raw JSON for your custom fonts. You can edit the URL directly there for the meantime.

Ah, nice. I’ll use that in the meantime.
The reason is I don’t like having to upload and keep custom fonts in the media library. Keeping them in a folder in the child theme is cleaner.
